Women Jordan Shoes Charged With Having $8,000 In Fake Nikes

Police told Channel 2 that running counterfeit goods up and down I-85 is a growing trend. In the past few month, police said they have taken in more than $100,000 in fake goods, especially purses and shoes.

South Carolina women on I-85 on Saturday and Nike Ken Griffey charged each with having forged or counterfeit goods, a felony. Police said the women, Kotina LaShan Feaster and Jessica Pennick,  owned the fake Nike shoes that were valued at about $8,000.

Officer Nicholas Boney pulled over Feaster’s Pontiac Grand Prix for following too closely behind another car, according to a police report. He said he smelled marijuana during the routine stop.

Feaster admitted there was marijuana in the car and allowed the officer to search the vehicle, Boney said in the report. During the search, he said, he found the Women Jordan Shoes .There was a large box in the backseat that was covered up with a jacket. Once I removed the jacket I could see what it was. More shoes were found in the car’s trunk.

Police said Feaster claimed to have gotten the shoes for free and that she had no idea they were fake. But police didn’t believe her story.

The Jordan Shoes Was Designed By Tinker Hatfield

It was the first Air Jordan to feature a visible air unit on the heel, the new Jumpman logo,  and tumble leather for a luxury look. The Air Jordan were also famous for the humorous ads depicting Spike Lee as Mars Blackmon—the character he played in his film ‘She’s Gotta Have It’. This campaign was known as “Mars and Mike” ad campaign, which was one of Nike’s most successful advertisement campaigns. These were the first Jordans to feature the “NIKE AIR” logo on the back, but later replaced by the Jumpman logo, with the words “AIR” underneath it. These were said to be Michael Jordan’s favorite shoes, he wore them during the 1988 Dunk Championship and many other historical events in his basketball career.

In 2007, Jordan brand collaborated with director Spike Lee to release a limited pair of  Jordan shoes in a colorway that resembled the Do The Right Thing movie poster. Also saw the retroed versions of the Air JordanI’s in two monotone colorways, all black and all white, nicknamed the “Black Cats” and the “Pure Moneys” respectively.

In 2011, Jordan brand released a Black History Month (BHM) Jordan 3 colorway in commemoration of the 35th anniversary of Black History Month. The sneaker is black with gold trim and stitching as well as laser print around the toe and heel. The BHM 3 was a very limited quickstrike release and there was said to have been no more than 3,000 pairs made.

Jordan Would Wear The Jordan Shoes Again In The Season

The Air Jordan is similar to the Nike Dunk and the Air Force (shoe) in appearance. When first released the Air Jordan’s sold for $125. The NBA banned the Air Jordan from being worn in the league, as it went against the traditional all white shoes worn at the time. Michael Jordan, however, still wore the Air Jordan and was fined $5,000 a game. Nike exploited the marketing opportunity created by the league’s reaction to the shoe combined with Jordan’s exploding popularity, paying the fines throughout his rookie campaign.

Although Tinker Hatfield is the name most associated with the design of the Air Jordan line, Peter More was the designer of the Air Jordan . The Air Jordan pair of sneakers was considered a breakthrough in basketball shoe design and colorways.

Jordan sported the Black colorway while winning the 1984-85 Rookie of the Year. In his second year an injury cost Jordan 64 games, but when on the court he wore the Air Jordan White-Black-Red. Jordan would wear the Jordan shoes again in the 1997-98 season, during his final appearance as a Bull at Madison Square Garden against the New York Knicks. Nike has released many Air Jordan Retro versions since the original came out in 1985. As of today, Air Jordan has been the most reproduced Air Jordan with over 96 colorways

As We All Know That Jordan Shoes In Our Heart

All Air Jordan, also known simply as Jordan Shoes, are a brand of shoes and athletic apparel produced by Nike originally designed for and endorsed by the basketball player Michael Jordan. The Air Jordan line is now sold by the Jordan Brand subsidiary of Nike. Jordan Shoes were first released in 1985, with new designs released annually. The many styles and color schemes offered for the Air Jordan over the years have spurred a large secondary collectors market. Shoe collectors are known to buy, sell and trade Jordan Shoes through eBay, sneaker conventions, consignment stores such as Sole Control in Philadelphia and Flight Club in New York City, and sneaker forums such as Niketalk & ISS. Sneakerheads, as collectors are known, classify the Jordan line by release year and model: Originals (The first edition of a particular model from its initial launch) Air Jordan currently sponsors 19 active NBA players. Their main endorser is Dwyane Wade, who plays shooting guard for the Miami Heat. Chris Paul and Carmelo Anthony are also key endorsers.

Controversial Jordan Shoes Relaunched In After Year

The original Nike Air Jordan shoes from the 1980’s were also a source of controversy, with Michael Jordan being fined $5000 every time he wore the black and red ones on the court because they weren’t compliant with the NBA rules of the time. Nike of course, paid for those fines. The publicity around this rather contrived controversy brought them priceless additional publicity to help them make the sneaker, which was in its day the most expensive mass produced basketball shoe in the world, a household name. This would certainly appear to be a far more cynical case of cashing in on a big name in sport than an upstart shoe designer launching a shoe named after some undeniable sporting legends fans may want to show a connection to without following the herd and having the exact same shoes as everyone, ever has owned since 1985.

A certain shoe company obviously took the presence of this new shoe a little more seriously, issuing a cease and desist order to the company, who responded by ignoring it and raising the question of how far one would go to try and claim ownership of other people’s brands. Lebron Jordan were making a stand.

Because of some issues with the original prototypes for the design of the actual Jordan Shoes , the design has now been reimagined and the site, www.lebronjordan.com relaunched, ready to take preorders for both models in what is now a two tier range – the entry level LJ 550 sneaker which retails at $49.99, and the top end Lebron Jordan 2012 shoe which sells for $124.99.

These are shoes for individuals with a sense of humor, who want to respect the legacy of two of America’s greatest sporting heroes without lining the pockets of big business or buying in to a big behemoth brand. Lebron Jordan don’t care about branding. They care about it so little that they don’t even have a fixed logo - every customer can choose any one of 15 completely different Lebron Jordan logos to feature on their own pair of sneakers. Lebron Jordan are challenging everything that is accepted about the sneaker industry – that the brand is all important and that you need to shift millions of units to change the market.

More and more refugees flee Syria to Jordan

Ahmad and her family have lived in an unheated apartment since fleeing the military assault on their home city of Homs ordered by Syrian President Bashar Assad. Assad’s military has bombarded the city of about 1 million people for months to put down an uprising against his rule.

There is no work and little money, and the Jordanian government has hesitated to officially recognize refugees, so Syrians largely rely on help from aid organizations and the hospitality of generous strangers.

Refugees are nothing new to Jordan Shoes. The country has long been a safe zone for people fleeing conflict in the Middle East. The desert kingdom has nearly 2 million Palestinians, some living in camps that have existed for decades. As many as 1 million Iraqis have fled to Jordan since the Gulf War in 1991, and hospitals in Amman have treated more than 37,000 Libyans since last July.

More than 80,000 refugees have crossed the Syria-Jordan border, Jordanian officials have told the Associated Press, though lawmaker Mamdouh Al-Abbadi says some figures have been inflated to make the situation look more dire than it is to increase potential for outside funding.

Ken Griffey Jr Shoes Black Blue

Well theres nothing much to say here. The Nike Air Griffey Max will hit stores in March. It’s been about 13 years since they dropped, and they’re finally being retroed. Both colors & the 24 on the strap represent with Ken Griffey Jr was a Seattle Mariner. I’m probably going to cop the colorway pictured above, but there will be a Volt colorway dropping in May.

Air Jordan 12 Retro “Playoff”

Jordan shoes Brand has set plans in motion to bring back the Air Jordan 12 next year alongside the Air Jordan 10. We’ll see both new and original colorways of the AJ12 hit store shelves including the return of the ever-popular “Playoff” model. The Air Jordan 12 “Playoff” first came into the spotlight back in ’97 when Michael Jordan wore the sneakers during Game 6 of the NBA Finals to help the Chicago Bulls overcame the Utah Jazz in a best of 7 series. The shoes released shortly afterwards and have since appeared once as a retro in 2004. The 2012 model looks identical to the previous two, sporting a black leather upper contrasted with white accents on the mudguard and outsole, silver on the Jumpman badge, and red on the tongue and heel branding. Jordan Brand hasn’t confirmed an official release date yet, but early reports are speculating that an April release is in the works. Stay tuned to Sneaker Obsession for further information.
